For safe microbiological Water Systems
This microbiolgical management means, there is no longer a sterile environment based on biozides - instead of this there is a stable and healthy microbiological community.
The Mösslein Probiotic solutions are neutral and harmless products which has an active effect on the binding matrix components leading to a clearer, pure and hygienical water again. EvoBac is biologically degradable, non-corrosive, non-flammable and non-volatile.
The solutions can be introduced into the water system directly or through a pump.
Cooling Towers
Folmar CTL-Blue Evo is a conditioning agent for open water-based evaporative cooling systems, for process water circuits and for closed systems with water flow. It is no longer necessary to add biocides.
Folmar CTL-Blue Evo is a combination product consisting of hardness stabilizers, corrosion inhibitors, cleaning components and probiotic additives.

Mechanism of action: competitive exclusion and Quorum Sensing.
Bacteria, especially pathogens, have a strong tendency to develop resistance to any substance that could be harmful or lethal to them. This phenomenon is evident in the case of antibiotics and disinfectants. To avoid this resistance, none of the probiotics used in our products have a direct biocidal action towards other organisms.
The mechanism of action is based on the principle of "competitive exclusion".
The idea behind the competitive exclusion is that during the application of probiotics a layer of beneficial bacteria is placed on the target surface, immediately occupying the "field" with the good bacteria. They will consume all sources of food, leaving nothing to potential pathogenic invaders in search of space and food. Probiotic bacteria are much more active in this competition and outperform all other bacteria.
However, in highly polluted environments, competitive exclusion itself is not enough, another factor must be considered.
In air or water, pathogenic bacteria have a survival mechanism called "QUORUM SENSING".
Quorum sensing is an extremely fast way of communication between bacteria, which uses numerous signaling molecules: pathogenic bacteria surrounded by beneficial bacteria and other species are no longer able to communicate and become dormant en masse. They inhibit and stop proliferating.
Probiotics applied to the environment work because competition is established for space, food and humidity.
Probiotics and biofilms
The third consideration of the probiotic effect is biofilm. Biofilm is an accumulation of inorganic and organic materials that can stick to all surfaces. The bacteria, both pathogenic and non-pathogenic, are incorporated into a biofilm with gradual growth and formation. Sometimes, parts of the biofilm pour into the surrounding environment.
Our probiotics dismantle biofilm thanks to special enzymes and prevent it from reforming if their colony is maintained.
